Southeastern Plains Reptiles and Amphibians by Month

Pine forest, swamps and farmland cover the Southeastern Plains. This region has the biggest species list on the site. Green Anoles, Green Treefrogs and Southern Toads are the easy finds. Pond Sliders bask in every pond. March is the busiest month, and the Northern Cottonmouth and Timber Rattlesnake live here.
